~~ ~ ~ ,('~ Zoe o4G
Redvale, Colorado
May 8, 2000
Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street
Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
MAY 10 ZOOQ
Deaz Sirs:
RECEII/ED
Divi~on of Minerals & Geology
I received notice from J. E. Stover & Associates regazding Louisiana Land and Gravel
Company, LLC permit application for a new gravel pit This proposed gravel pit is very
close to where I live and the concems I have are listed below.
Issues ofConcern are:
1. Dust and noise control .
2. Safety issues from the truck traffic. This county road is a school bus route twice a
day, morning and late afternoon.
3. Weaz and tear on a newly oiled county road
4. Would like for the entrance into the proposed gravel pit area to be moved from the
present entrance ftuther east as the main entrance is just around the corner from my
home and is below the crest of a hill.
So far I seem to be the only land owner that has been contacted about this proposed
gravel pit. I feel that the dust and noise from this mining operation will have the most
impact on my health and the residents of Redvale. Twenty years is a long time to have
this kind of impact on this community.
Hope you will address these concerns before granting the permit.
Sincerely yours,
'Evelyn C.
