The existing topography is presented on Exhibit C-1 Pre-Mining Map. In general, the land slopes
gently to the northwest. The western edge of the pit disturbance (in Phase I and Phase III) consists
• of the partially exposed gravel outcrop. This 30 foot thick gravel deposit presents itself on a slope
of approximately 12%. The vegetation of this slope is predominantly cedar. The upper, more
gently sloping, irrigated portion of the pit disturbance azea is covered in a pasture hay mixture of
grasses. Unirrigated portions of the disturbance area, where not covered in cedar, are covered
predominately by noxious weeds and cheat grass. The type of present vegetation is also shown
and described in more detail on Exhibit J-1 and a description of the naturally occurring rangeland
vegetation is presented in Exhibit J.
A soils information map is presented as Exhibit I.
The mine plan is shown on Exhibit C-2. Surface Ownership is shown on Exhibit C-3. Available
Arial Photography is presented on Exhibit C-4.
•
•
C-2
