7. Remove Foundations at Whirlwind and Packrat Portals
• The shop and dry/admire building rests on a concrete foundation that is 60 feet x 50 feet x 6 inch
thickness with rebaz. This is a volume of 56 cubic yards of concrete. The material will be removed
with a Cat D-7 dozer equipped with a hydraulic concrete breaker or equivalent. The material will be
loaded in trucks and hauled underground or off site. The cost of this removal is $24 per cubic yard and
the disposal is $7 per cubic yard. Therefore, the total estimated cost is $1,736.
The used oil tank pad will be 8 feet x 10 feet x 4 inches thick with no rebaz. This is 1 cubic yazd. Since
this is a small foundation, it will incur a higher cost compazed to above, therefore, this cost is $100.
The Packrat bins will have up to 16 concrete footers of 3-foot depth and 2-foot diameter. These will
cost $150 each to remove x 16 footers = $2,400.
The total cost for this task is estimated to be $4,236.
• 8. Install Bat Gate at Packrat Portal and Seal Shop Area
A steel bat gate will be welded into place at the main Packrat portal.
