that is painted tan or light brown to better blend in with the surrounding natural features. <br />., Maintenance activities will be limited to routine service and minor repairs. <br />A second maintenance shop is located in a short drift just north of the main Packrat portal. This <br />underground shop will be blocked in and equipped with a gazage door. <br />10. Mine Offices and Shower Facilities <br />A four-inch thick concrete pad with nominal dimensions of twenty feet by fifty feet will be <br />constructed immediately north of the wazehouse and maintenance shop. A prefabricated metal <br />building consisting of mine offices and change/shower facilities (i.e., dry) will be constructed on <br />this concrete pad. This building will be contiguous with the shop and warehouse and will be painted <br />the same tan or light brown color. A portable watchman's trailer will also be located on site as <br />shown on Map C-2. This trailer will be approximately 10 feet x 30 feet and may be used as sleeping <br />quarters for a security person at night or when the mine is not operating. A septic system will be <br />installed for the shower and bathroom facilities as described under utilities below. <br />11. Designated Parking and Storage Areas , <br />A gravel pazking area will be provided for employees and visitors just north and adjacent to the <br />mine offices. This area will have a chain link fence and gate to prevent unauthorized access when <br />the mine is idle. Signs will be posted stating that visitors must check in at the mine office. <br />One or more material storage azeas will be established on top of the Whirlwind waste rock pad. A <br />small storage azea will also be available at the north end of the Packrat waste rock pad next to the <br />maintenance shop. These storage azeas will contain supplies used underground such as roof bolts, <br />mats, pipe, power cable, ventilation tubing, hoses, timbers, and parts for lazge equipment. <br />A 1,000 gallon tank containing a dilute solution of magnesium chloride will be installed on top of <br />the pad neaz the Whirlwind portal as shown on Map C-2.
