<br />~~• United States <br />;~~ Department of <br />Agriculture <br />EXHIBIT D <br />Soil <br />Conservation <br />Service <br />August 4, 1986 <br /> <br />871 East First Street <br />Akron, CO 80720 <br />Washington County Commissioners <br />County Court House <br />Akron, CO 80720 <br />Subject: Sand and Gravel Mining <br />Dear Commissioners: <br />An inventory of the proposed gravel pit in the <br />SE 1/4 NE 1/4 NE 1/4 and NE 1/4 SE 1/4 NE 1/4 of <br />Section 25, Township 4 South, Range 49 Weat, 6th PM <br />in Washington County has been made. <br />Sand and gravel are to be removed from the dry <br />streambed and the adjacent low terrace. As the <br />streambed consists of raw sand, it supports no <br />vegetation. As the terrace consists of mostly <br />sand and gravel, only a thin layer of dirty sand <br />supports a aparce vegetative cover. <br />As this is a dry stream most of the time, no <br />adverse effects to the water, vegetation, or soil <br />resources will accrue. <br />Sinc rely, <br />C ~~ ~~~- <br />Loren G.
