Please advise the woody species and forbs that you recommend adding to the seed <br />mix. The BLM suggestion to use the Vees and woody plants to be removed and used as slash <br />over the reclaimed areas is acceptable to the applicant. They should help in the revegetation <br />program by giving protection to the seedlings. <br />Exhibit I: - neclamaiio:7 : iar~ ivi(aji - wns adayuata. <br />Exhibit G -Water Information. <br />The revised mining plan text explains that small upland diversions might be constructed <br />above the affected area to divert surface runoff away. However, a pit will be created in <br />mining, and the surface runoff will be captured there. <br />Exhibit H -Wildlife - no comment was made. <br />Exhibit I -Soils Information - no comment was made. <br />Exhibit J - Vegetation Information -adequate as submitted. <br />Exhibit K -Climate - no comment was made. <br />Exhibit L -Reclamation Costs -adequate as submitted, based on a maximum of <br />20-acre disturbance. <br />Exhibit M -Other Permits and Licenses <br />All permits are in the applicant's possession, or aze in processing awaiting final approval, <br />which is expected shortly. <br />Exhibits O, P, Q, R, and S - no comment was made. <br />6.5 Geotechnical Stability Exhibit. <br />It is the DMG's opinion that geotechnical testing will be necessary for this operation. <br />Blasting, if necessary, will involve a small tonnage and azea, as is typical of the clay mining <br />business. The blasting site will be a minimum of 1-1/2 to 2 miles from other owners and <br />should have no effects outside of the lessor's property. <br />
