<br />LARIAT MINE - Jefferson County <br />EXHIBIT D - Wildlife, Water Resources, Vegetation and Soils Information <br />Wildlife Species: Coyote, deer, cottontail rabbits, jackrabbits, <br />bobcats, raports, songbirds (seasonal), magpies, small rodents and <br />rattlesnakes. <br />Water Resources: There is no available water except for rain <br />and snowfall. <br />Vegetation: Cheatgrass, Little Bluestem, Big Bluestem, Needle <br />and Thread, Blue grama, Sedge, Junegrass, Western Wheat, Sand Drop- <br />seed and Bluegrass. See attached Conservation Service statement <br />for more detailed information. <br />Soils: The surface layer is dark grayish brown stony sandy <br />loma about four inches thick. The subsoil is a light olive brown <br />clay loam about 10 inches thick. The underlying material is a very <br />pale brown clay loam extending to a depth of five feet or more. <br />These soils are used mainly for grazing land and are not suited <br />for cropland. <br />EXHIBIT E - Reclamation Plan <br />When this operation is completed the overburden will be used <br />in reclaiming the land. The portal of the drift will be blasted <br />in and filled where necessary to conform with the adjacent land. <br />There is no available irrigation water on this property and <br />there are no ponds of water in the area being mined. <br />Although the Soil Conservation Service report states that <br />it would be difficult to establish plant growth in these soils <br />they have recommended the following seed mixture. <br />Type of Plant <br />Sideoats grama "Vaughn" <br />Pubescent Wheatgrass "Luna" <br />Little Bluestem "Pastura" <br />Western Wheatgrass "Barton" <br />i'~~ <br />Bulk Seed per Acre <br />1.8 lbs. <br />5.4 lbs. <br />1.4 lbs. <br />4.8 lbs. <br />We have no future land use plan because this property will <br />revert back to Martin Marietta for their use when our mining <br />operation ceases.r~~ <br />EXHIBIT F - Proof of Local Government Approval <br />See attached letter from Jefferson County Planning Director. <br />EXHIBIT G - Source of Legal Right to Enter <br />See Notarized letter attached. <br />- 2 - <br />
