Beavers
Gentlemen:
Re: Murdock Gravel Pit
Your file 83-112
With respect to the referenced application, and in response to
your letter of July 19, 1983, enclosed please find the following in
duplicate:
Exhibit B -Mining Plan -First Replacement
Amended Quarter Section and Site Maps
Exhibit D -Second Supplemental
Soil Conservation Service Soil Information
Exhibit E -Reclamation Plan -First Replacement
Form CO-ECS-2, baseline vegetation conditions.
Your letter indicates you computed 14 to 15 acres on this pit
according to your field investigation. We believe the pit which you
inspected is one approximately one-quarter mile north of the site to
which this application applies. This application applies to a site
which, according to my own inspection, is much smaller than the larger
pit which is visible to the North and which I at first confused with
the Murdock pit. Th it is located on property whi h
identify as being owned by illiam J. an arty a er.
The drainage described in the D.O.W. report is indicated on
EXHIBIT C - PART 1 and is s imply a gulley which ru ns after sufficient
precipitatio n. We believe the D.O.W. examined the wrong site
(apparently the Weber site is much more prominant than the Murdock
site) and we are making further inquiry.
We believe this additional documentation should satisfy the
concerns expressed in your letter of July 19, 1983. Please advise
what additional information may be required.
Very truly yours,
/j ~ ~
GARY W. DAMS
cc
Encls.
