Listed on Table 56, Eagle Mines Existing Structures, are the major structures currently
existing at the Eagle Mines. The table illustrates the approximate construction dates of the facilities as well as the
dates of last modification. All facilities including ancilliary facilities used at the Eagle No. 5 mine will be used for the
No. 6 mine. Anew Multiple Services building and 100,000 gallon water tank was constructed during 1989. The
location is shown on Maps 25 & 26.
No. 5 Portal Area Main Office
The main offices were originally located near RAG EC Village. Offices have been relocated near the No. 5 portal.
The offices consist of mobile trailers and house the Manager of mines, safety and training personnel, engineering
staff, and other mine personnel. As of December, 2001 all of the trailers have been removed from the site.
Shou
A new shop was constructed in 1981 to replace the old shop located near the now abandoned RAG EC Village. The
• shop is located near the main office building. The shop is used to perform all maintenance activities associated with
[he underground mining operation.
Warehouse
The CMLRD approved the construction of the warehouse and storage yard in September 1983. The approval allowed
for the construction of a building 60 feet by 100 feet with a loading dock. The warehouse was constructed north of
the shop on a previously disturbed area.
