EXHIBIT D (Cont'd)
;dining Plan
5[ining was started in the eastern portion of the area,
approximately midway between the north and south boundaries of
the lease. An early haul road conveyed the clay from the property
in a southerly direction. This haul road was abandoned, and the
existing road (see map Exhibits B and C) was installed at the
request of the lessor, hfap Exhibit C shows the boundary of the
lease, the affected lands and the current operating area, as
well as other items required by the rules and regulations.
P.lining will occur in eight stages sous to minimize surface
disturbance at any one time (see map Exhibit D-1). Stages O and
A, as well as Stage I and A, will be operated simultaneously
beginning with Stages O and A at the issuance of this permit.
This is necessary because there are two different types of clay
available in the areas. Clhen the clay in Stage A is depleted,
operations in this pit will return to the single-stage-at-a-time
type operation. Stage A should be depleted within the first ten
years. It is estimated the remaining seven stages will each
last between four and six years,

Three tracts on the lease are not expected to contain
commercial quantities of clay. These tracts have not been elimi-
nated from the disturbed lands because there is some possibility
that when nearby lands are mined, the clay will be found to extend
laterally into any or all of these tracts. Should this occur,
these tracts will be treated simply as an additional stage or
- 10 -
