Representative Sampling <br />Samples and measurements tskm as requirad herein shall be <br />represmtacive of tha volws and nature of the monitorsd discharge. <br />All samples shall be taken at the monitoring points specified in this <br />permit sad, unless otherriae specified, before the effluent joins or <br />is diluted by nay other rastastream, body of eater, or substance. <br />monitoring points shall not be changed rithout notification to sad <br />approval by the Dirisim . <br />2. Analytical sad Sampling Methods for monitoring <br />Analytical sad sampling methods utilized by the discharger shall <br />conform to Colorado Regulations for Effluent Limitations (10.1.5), <br />sad to regulations published pursuant to Section 304 (h) of the Clean <br />Hater Act. <br />The analytical method selected for a parameter shall be the one that <br />can measure the lowest detected limit for that parameter unless the <br />permit limitation or stream standard for those parameters not <br />limited, is rithia the testing range of aaather approved method. <br />~- <br />3. Records <br />The parmittee shall e~tabliah and maintain records. Those racords <br />shall include the following: <br />a) The date, type, enact location, and time of sampling or <br />measuremmts; <br />b) The individual(s) rho performed the sampling or neasurnments; <br />e) The date(s) the analyses were performed; <br />d) The individual(s) rho performed the analyses; <br />e) The analytical techniques or methods used; <br />f) The results of such analyses; and <br />g) Any other observations rhich may result is as impact as the <br />quality or quantity of the discharge as Indicated is 40 CFR <br />122.44 (i)(1)(iii). <br />The permittee shall retain for a minimum of three (3) years records <br />of all monitoring information, including all original strip chart <br />recordings for continuous mnitoriag iaatrumeatation, all calibration <br />and maintenance records, copies of all reports required by this <br />permit sad records of all data used to complete the application for <br />this permit. This period of retention shall be eztended during the <br />course of any unresolved litigation regarding the discharge of <br />pollutants by the permittee or when requested by the Division or <br />Regional Administrator of EPA. <br />Code: i - 22 Date: 1-84, revised 12-88 <br />
