Therefore, I would <br />appreciate a response from you on or before February 9, 2001. Please be advised that your <br />application may be deemed inadequate and may be denied on February l9, 2001 unless the <br />following adequacy review items aze addressed to the satisfaction of the Division. <br />6.4.4 EXHIBIT D -Mining Plan <br />1. The applicant specifies on page 14 that mining will occur in 2 phases, over a 5 year period, and <br />that mining and reclamation will proceed concurrently. The following criteria will be used in the <br />Division's determination of an adequate reclamation cost unless the applicant can clarify the <br />conditions to be expected during maximum disturbance scenario at the site: <br />there will be a total disturbance of 33 acres of which 25 acres will be excavated <br />there will be 6950 lineaz feet of pit wall, approximately 18.5 feet in height <br />the excavated pits will fill with approximately 312.5 acre-feet of water in the absence of active <br />pumping <br />8 disturbed acres of stockpile & access areas will need to be ripped, scarified, fertilized, seeded, <br />mulched, & crimped <br />6 disturbed acres will need to be backfilled w/ overburden, scarified, fertilized, seeded, <br />mulched, & crimped <br />19 acres of lake surface (comprised of 2 lakes) w/ 6570 linear feet of shoreline will be created <br />40,000 cu.yd. of topsoil will be generated of which 10,500 cu.yd. will be needed for reclamation <br />240,000 cu.yd of overburden will be generated of which 156,300 cu.yd. will be needed to <br />backfill 6950 linear feet of pit wall to a 3: I slope; [here will be a surplus of 83,700 cu.yd. of <br />overburden <br />
