Section 816.117 (b) Continued. <br />• <br />(4) Upon expiration of the 5 or 10 year reaponsbility period and at the <br />time of request for bond release, each permittee shall provide documen- <br />tation showing that the stocking of trees and shrubs and the groundcover <br />on the revegetated area satisfy Sections 816.116 (b)(3)(iv) and 816.117 <br />(c) (i) . <br />(c) The fallowing are the minimum performance standards for areas where <br />woody plants are used for wildlife management, recreation, shelter <br />belle, or forest uses other than commercial forest land: <br />(1) An inventory of trees, half-shrubs and shrubs shall be conducted on <br />established reference areas according to methods approved by the regula- <br />tory authority; this inventory shall contain but not be limited to-- <br />(i) site quality, <br />• (11) stand size, <br />(iii) stand condition, <br />(iv) site and species relations, and <br />(v) appropriate forest land utilization considerations. <br />(2) The stocking of trees, shrubs, half-shrubs and the groundcover es- <br />tablished on the revegetated area shall approximate the stocking and <br />ground cover on the reference area and shall utilize local and regional <br />recommendations regarding species composition, spacing and planting <br />arrangement. The stocking of live woody plants shall be equal to or <br />greater than 90 percent of the stocking of woody plants of the same life <br />form on the reference area. When this requirement is met and acceptable <br />ground cover is achieved, the 5 or 10 years responsibility period re- <br />quired in Section 816.116 (b) shall begin. <br />816-164 <br />
