Wildlife Information
The area within the proposed permit boundary consists of vegetable crop ground and has been in
production in the past year. This area provides limited wildlife resource for forage or cover. The
Fulton Ditch crosses [he northwest comer of the permit area. The South Plate River lies
approximately'/< mile west of the permit area. This area contains a limited number of
cottonwoods and varied riparian plants that would provide cover and food for a number of
wildlife species.
Mining activities may disturb some of the animal residents of the area. The mining operation is
to be confined to specific areas to limit the total disturbed acreage at any one time. This will
help limit the disturbance to the wildlife of the area.
