~- 4
No water will be used or contact in this operation. No chemical agents of any type will be
used in this operation.
Measures will be taken to minimize any possible disturbance to the hydrologic balance
by exposing on minimal amount of surface area at any given time. Area will be sloped at
3:1 or less as mining continues, and a fast growing seed applied to stabilize the azea, if
needed, until reclamation begins. The area is flat and porous enough to slow run off from
any precipitation.
The primary commodities will be sand and gravel with no secondary commodities mined.
EXHIBIT D
Reclamation Plan
Reclamation of the area will be on going with sloping of the site at 3:1 or less as areas of
the pit are mined out. Overburden will be stockpiled along with topsoil for use in
reclaiming the area. Seeding of a fast growing seed such as Prosso millet may be use to
help stabilize the slopes until seeding commences with the recommend plan by the
N.R.C.S. (see attached sheet).
There will be no building or ponds left on the property after reclamation and the land will
be returned to rangeland.
Efforts to maintain the hydrological balance will be to minimize the amount of exposed
surface as mining moves from south to north, slope areas to 3:1 or less, and the soil is
porous and should absorb any normal precipitation.
Any area that is planted with the recommended seed mixture will be disked and seed
applied as recommended by the N.R.C.S. to include any recommended augmenting prior
to planting.
EXHIBIT F
A.P.E.N permit is the only other permit required and will be applied for.
