~i
This is an extractive industries operation. There is no
expectation of any sort of material that will hurt the drainage
system. It is not expected that any drill or auger will be utilized.
It will not be necessary to plug any holes.
No pond shall be produced after the mining has been completed.
The slopes will be fashioned in a 3-tot slope. Once the material
has been extracted, there will be reasonable access to the mine.
It is not expected that structure fill material will be used in the pit
as backfill even if it is produced with in the permitted area. Since
the material to be mined is extractive material; there is no
anticipated release of pollutants in the affected areas. Since
the affected areas are currently rangeland, the hydrology and
water quantity will be unaffected.
An earth dam is not necessary to catch any snowmelt because it
evaporates or melts into the ground. It is not expected that the
mining will affect the groundwater flow.
During the mining and reclamation in the affected areas, it is not
expected that any problems will exist as far as wildlife habitat is
concerned. Since the affected lands are in the to be return to
rangeland, it is not expected that the wildlife will need any special
consideration.
It is expected that the topsoil will be utilized in the pit area for
reclamation purposes as soon as it is possible. The topsoil will be
placed so as to reduce the effects of erosion and will be handled
as little as possible until reclamation process starts.
Once the topsoil is placed in position to be seeded, it will be
prepared accordingly.
When seeding, it is recommend by the NRCS that an agricultural
drilling machine be employed. The seed mixture can be
referenced in subsection (d) of this exhibit. This will be dry land
seeding with the seedbed prepared by disk or harrow. Seeding
