I consulted c,.~ith our Attorney <br />General representative, I.ew Woods, who expressed the opinion that if <br />adjacent landowners had been properly notified, reFublication would not <br />be necessary. I have adequacy co~rmenta on this application, however, I <br />feel that we car. resolve these questions by the May 29, 19E0 meeting. <br />Accordingly, I have scheduled the Vagneur Pit for this meeting. Any <br />exhibits not mentioned are considered adequate. <br />EXHIBIT C <br />1. An arrow indicating tl:e direction of mining in the excavation area <br />would clarify the mining procedure. (A statement of the direction <br />of mining would work ss well.) <br />2. Why !e the excavation area to be such a small part of the permit <br />area4 Are other areas within the 105 acres to be mined at a later <br />time? <br />3. Ia the area labeled "topsoil" to the east of the excavation area a <br />region for topsoil storage or an arrn for mining of topaoi.l for use <br />elsewhere? If topsoil ie taken from here for use e?.sawl~ere, theta <br />must be an adequate amount rea:!nirg *or zeclanation to succeed in <br />this particular area. <br />4. Ie topsoil to be stripped from the parking area in the southwest <br />part of the permit area? <br />5. When gravel is stored in the "Future Gravel Storage" area, the <br />topsoil should be stripped from this area. <br />6. The existing access road is not shown in red (ref. Exhibit D). <br />EXHIBIT C-1 <br />1. The Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad should be notified ae an <br />adjacent landowner (ae well as the landowners on all other sides). <br />2. Who is the adjacent landowner to the east of the permit area? <br />This landowner must also be notified. <br />
