• 3.7 FINAL, GRADING AND EROSION PROTECTION <br />Crown grade for the finished road shall be 2%. Maximum sustained <br />grade shall be 8%. Grades shall not exceed 4% for 300 feet approach- <br />ing intersections. <br />Rip-rap (lazge rocks) shall be placed at the culvert outlets as erosion <br />protection. <br />3.8 CONSTRUCTION <br />We recommend that the construction of the embankment be observed <br />by a qualified Soils Engineer from our office and that we are notified at <br />least 48 hours prior to construction. Construction observation is neces- <br />sary in order to document conditions during construction, to confirm <br />the assumptions used in recommending these specifications, and to <br />modify the specifications if necessary. <br />L J <br />• 6 <br />
