- 2 - November 10, 2006
The County Special Use Permit Area will be for 306 acres. The "initial" DMR&S proposed permit
area is 274 acres. D.G. Hoskins Construction Co. currently has 32 acres under DMR&S Petmits M-t 998-
081 and M-1997-042. The 32 acze azea is planned to be eventually incorporated into the proposed 274
acre permit area (to total 306 acres) via a DMR&S amendment in the future, as there are some un-mined
azeas remaining. All areas aze currently rangeland and all disturbed areas will be reclaimed to rangeland.
Fremoat Paving & Redi Mix and Mr. Franascotti would appreciate any comments and
recommendations the DOW may have concerning this project The current site use is for gravel mining
operations (32 acres under Huskies) and rangeland. The reclamation for disturbed areas is for rangeland.
The applications for both the Huerfano County Special Use Permit and DMR & S Regular (112)
Reclamation Permit will be filed by the end of November or early December 2006 depending on various
agenry's response time. I'm sure that the Huerfano County Planning Office and Plaztning Commission will
be requesting similar comments from the DOW concerning the permit application. Please contact me at
(719) 655-2709 if you have any cotments or questions. Thank you.
egazds, //////,//
Timothy M.
Geologic
