The reclamation was <br />designed to restore the land surface to unimproved rangeland. Minrec is currently revising <br />reclamation success standards for the mine sites to better define the needs of the <br />landowner and to comply with DMG rules and regulation. One standard I know you would <br />like changed is the requirement to have a certain number of woody plants on the reclaimed <br />area. The current DMG permit requires the majority of the site to have at least 1500 woody <br />stems per acre. <br />The DMG is willing to waive the woody plant density standard subject to landowner <br />approval. Please signify your approval of the woody plant density revision by signing in <br />the space provided below and returning the signed copy of this letter to me in the enclosed <br />self addressed stamped envelope.
