' EKHIBIT G
!VATER RESOURCES DIVISION REPORT
' NO REPORT P1ADE .
'
WATER RESOURCES STATEPdENT
There will be no major disturbanc es to the prevailing
hydrologic balance in this pit area. Surrounding properties
' all have drain ditches and drain tiles into the subsurface
aquifer to get rid of water. As best we can determine
there
' ,
are no water wells in the vicinity of this pit, so there
should be no problems for surrounding landowners from the
dewatering program to be carried out after the initial part
' of the mining operation is complete. Dewatering will start
' after the first 18 to 24 months of operations. The dewatering
water will be pumped from the pit to a settling pond off the
' affected land and then returned to the river.
There will be no water used for washing, compacting,
f irrigating or dust control.
The lake formed by the mining operation will have a

minimal amount of water loss due to evaporation; but according
to the 5lontrose Office, Division of !Vater Resources, this will
be a very minor distrubance to the prevailing hydrologic
' balance in this particular area and no augmentation will be
required. This was discussed with both h1r. Hal Simpson and
'
Pdr. Steve Hanskar.

' 1 ?,
