a

WILDLIFE QUESTIONNAIRE
13 continued.
Page 2
Mining will begin on the terrace face on the southwest part of the
plant area. It will then proceed to the west towards the west property
line along the 6460 contour elevation.
After stripping available soil, if any, front end loaders will remove
the sand and gravel and transport it to the processing crusher. Equipment
to be used for various operations may include, but is not limited to
bulldozers, dragline, scrapers, front end loaders, haul trucks and
water truck for dust suppression.
Excavation along the south, west and east lines will create 2 to 1
slopes. Since the deposit is approximately 40 feet thick, the slope
will have a horizontal distance of approximately 80 feet. From the
base of the 2 to 1 slope a very gentle slope will be created toward the
undisturbed flood plain area to recreate the original natural drainage
pattern. Final grading will be such that the topography is appropriate
to the reclaimed use of the property, i.e, pasture. The area will then
be seeded according to the Soil Conservation Service recommendations.
