Responses and additional
information are discussed below:
Exhibit D :Mining Plan
~1) Final removal of the temporary berm materials along the west, south and east
sides of the property will utilize both scrapers and dozers, depending on
operating constraints. Scrapers would tie used to pick-up and place the berm
material in the pit areas particularly wharever longer distances are involved,
utilizing a traffic pattern to provide reasonable compaction for slope stability.
Some areas, such as property corners are too small for scrapers to operate
effectively in, would require the use of dozers for pushing berm material into
the pit. Since the 3:1 slope backfill would have already have been placed by~
scrapers before temporary berm removal, dozed material in these areas
would be relatively small in quantity, and "tracked" to densify the surface.
J 2) The property owner may continue residence on the property after mining and
reclamation is complete. With most of the agricultural acreage consumed by
mining, the post-mining land-use is best described as a combination of
residential, wildlife habitat, sealed resEarvoir for water storage and limited
agricultural use. The affected land will to reclaimed to lined ponds.
