RFC;FIVFD
SEP 14 1995
EXHIBIT G
WATER INFORMATION Division of Minerals 5 Geology
The operation is not expected to directly affect surface or
groundwater systems.
A minimum of ten test pit where dug to an approximate average
depth of eighteen feet. No ground water was encountered and
soils were dry.
This site lies oa a Mesa with a gentle slope to the North (refer
to vicinity map on Exhibit C). The Mesa lies several feet above
any major drainage with no draws actually within the project
itself and no draws above, to the South of the proposed gravel
pit. Just to the South is a rock outcrop which is the top of the
ridge and provides a natural drainage break in the terrain.
Therefore, very limited water would come onto the site by runoff.
The amount of water required for the mining operation and
reclamation will be determined by how often watering for dust
control will be needed. This will be accomplished by operator
trucking water to site. It is not anticipated that water will be
needed for the revegatation process because of the type of
seeding program prescribed by Soils Conservation Service (Refer
to Exhibit i).
