The proposed mining plan consists of zither relocating the existing Ogilvy
Ditch to the eastern boundary of the property or leaving the ditch in-place.
' Mining will be done using dry mining techniques for the upper 30 ft of material and wet
' mining techniques from 30 to 60+ tt. The purpose of this Exhibit D is to describe the
proposed mining plan for the operation. The accompanying Figures D-l and D-2, Ivlining
Plan(s), portray the elements of the~roposed mining operation as described in this narrative
' in regards to relocating Ogilvy Ditch or leaving the ditch in-place.
' Concurrent with the submittal of this Regular (11''1 Permit amendment application to DMG,
CAMAS is also submitting an application for a Use by Special Review Permit for sand and
gravel mining to the City of Greeley.
For both possible mining conditions. If the Ogilvy Ditch remains in place, the phases will be comprised of approximately
tive to nineteen acres eac!t, as shown on Figure D-l (Mining Plan -Ogilvy Ditch in-place).
If the Ditch is relocated to the eastern boundary of the property, the four phases will consist
of approximately five to twenty acres each, as shown in Figure D-2 (Mining Plan -Ogilvy
Ditch Relocation). [f [he Ditch remains in-place. Phase 1 will consist of approximately 5
' acres a[ [he southwestern limits of the mined properly. Phase 2 will extend mining [o the east
and encompasses approximately 19 acres. Phase 3 is composed of the approximately 17.4
' acres east of the existing Ogilvy Ditch. Phase 4 would consist of mining the 8 acres of the
proposed CAMAS plant. If [he Ditch is relocated to the eastern boundary of [he property,
mining acreaee for Phases 1 and 4 will remain the same, but Phase ?will consist of
appro.ximarely 19.6 acres east of the plan[ and Phase 3 will contain [he remaining
approximately l5 acres east of Phase ?.
1
The thickness of the sand and gravel deposit was found to average 59.0 ft throuehout thz site.
' Overburden soils consisnng of clay and silt wire found to range from 0 to 6 fee[.
