<br />The existing electrical power distribution lines at the Rienau No. 2 <br />(G-Seam) Mine were not designed and constructed in accordance with REA Bulletin <br />61-10. However, raptor perches have been installed on the poles to prevent the <br />• possibility of raptor electrocution. All electric power lines and transmission <br />facilities at the Northern No. 1 (FF-Seam) Mine aze in compliance with USDI, USDA <br />(1970) and REA Bulletin 61-10. <br />Ncrthern Coal Company will not use persistent pesticides on the mine <br />plan area. Leafy spurge -Canada thistle outbreaks will probably require spraying <br />with Tordon, a herbicide, to prevent noxious weed contamination of revegetated <br />areas (see Land Use Information, Chapter D). <br />Northern Coal Company will, to the extent possible, prevent, control and <br />suppress all range fires and coal fires within the mine plan area that are a pazt of <br />NCC's mine plans. <br />Wildlife habitat is the secondary post-mining land use. Livestock grazing <br />is the primary post-mining ]and use. Plant species listed for final reclamation have <br />0-8 <br />
