Dept. of Natural Resources
Dear Ms. Russell :
Re: Addendum to MLR File NO. M-84-099
J-Bar-B, Inc, Bailey Pit
St. Vrain Creek is currently continueing, the normal process,
of eroding out the bank on the east side of the horse shoe bend
in the creek where it crosses the west side of the affected
lands in Stage 1 . It is our understanding that the MLRB wants
the creek erosion minimized.
To minimize erosion the operator will place rip rap or
rip rap like material along the slope of the east bank of the
creek, where erosion is occurring on the horse shoe bend. No
material will be placed in the creek. This operation will be
carried out when the operator has equipment on site that is
capable of doing the work. Such equipment will be on site when
mining starts.
Sincerely, *M4-1
Lar7E. O' Brian
