In an effort to mitigate as many of the issues Mr. Caddy raised in his
letter, we plan to limit the development of the pit to only the amount of gravel needed and to reclaim the
disturbed areas as we go. We believe our plan to mine and reclaim as much as possible after each mining phase
will limit the impact of our mining on the area wildlife resources. Our total impact is limited to 40 acres and
the site is surrounded by hundreds of other undisturbed acres. Our operation occurs in an area bordered by a
fence and used for grazing. We believe the wildlife resources could adapt to the limited impacts we plan. Also
we will make every reasonable effort to cooperate with wildlife officials to limit impacts on wildlife and reclaim
the area as quickly as possible in accordance with our plan,
(2) See Mr. Caddy's letter.
10
