THIS PERMIT is issued this 23rd day of February, 1977, by the Alined Land
Reclamation $oard, Department of Natural Resources, State of Colorado.

I11-IEREAS, STERLING READY AIIh CONCRETE CO. desires to conduct ar, open mining
operation, knot/n as Riverside Pit, for the purpose of extracting sand and gravel;
and
IJHEREAS, the Mined Land Reclamation Board has received an application, a
reclamation plan and map, the required fee, and a bond or surety ftr such operation
as required by law; and
i•!i{EREAS, the Alined Land Reclamation Board has made a finding, for the purposes
of issuing this permit, that:
1) the application complies with t}ie requirements of the Colorado
Alined Lana Reclamation Act,~nd all applicable local, state and
Federal laws; and
2) the operation will not adversely affect the stability of any
significant, valuable, and permanent man-made structures ]ocaCed
within two hundred feet of the affected land, except •,/here. there
is an agreement between the operator and the persons having an
interest in the structure that damage to the structure is to be
compensated for by the operator; and
3) the proposed mining operations and reclamation can be carried out
ir. conformance with the requirements of C.R.S. 1973, 34-32-116,
as amended (1976 Sess. Laws l{. B. 1065); and
(JNEREAS, for the purposes of issuing this permit, the operator has made
a saCisfactory showing to the Board that he will employ during and after his
open mining operations procedures reasonably designed to minimize as much as
practicable the disruption from the open mining operations and will provide
for the rehabilir.ation of the affected land through the rehab~litat:ion of plant
cover, soil 5 ability, water resources, and other measures appropriate to the
subsequential beneficial use of such mined and reclaimed lands; and that in
the event of Che failure of his proposed reclamation plan, he wil.1 take whatever
measures which may be necessary in order to assure the success o[ reclamation
of the lands affected by his open mining operations; and,
IJHEREAS, for the purposes of issuing this permiC, a copy of the application
approved by the Mined Land Reclamation Board of the State of Colorado is aCtached
Co this permit and thereby becomes a part of the teems hereoe.
Id04J, THEAEPORE, pursuant to the authority set forth in the Colorado ?lined
Land Reclamation Act, Article 32 of Title 34, C.R.S. 1973, as amended (]976
Sess. Laws 1{. B. 1065) the Mined Land Reclamation Board of the State of Colorado
hereby issues a life of the mine permit to STEPy IIdG READY MI\ CONCRETE CO. to
engage in open mining for the purpose of e:tracting sand and gravel mined on
the following parcel of ground, to wit:
E/2 SE/4 of Section 28, 'township 8 North, Lange 52 ldest
of the 6th Principal Aferidian, Logan Count}', Colorado
as indicated and more fully sot forth in Exhibit A of the permit file, subject
to the folloe/ing special conditions:
