The scope of this revision entails
a change in blasting area and times blasting will occur.
A Blasting Areas Map is attached to the revised Blasting
• Schedule for the Seneca II Kline. This map shows four
areas where blasting will occur during the remainder
of operations at the Seneca II Mine. Blasting Area No. 1
(328 acres) covers the remaining Wadge coal recovery
areas at Seneca, while Blasting Area No. 4 (21 acres)
shows the final coal recovery/reclamation area of the
westernmost Wadge coal mining area. Blasting Area No.
2 (315 acres) covers the remaining Wolf Creek coal recovery
area. Blasting Area No. 3 (20 acres) covers two small
collocated areas in the "D-9L Area" where a small amount
of Lennox coal will be removed before highwall reduction
and final reclamation take place (see Minor Revision
No. 20, approved on January 8, 1986). Blasting in areas
3 and 4 will most probably be completed during 1986.
The blasting times will be changed from every first half
hour between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (i.e.,
time periods shall not exceed an aggregate of four (4)
hours in any one day) to any time between sunrise to
sunset. This flexibility will provide for greater opera-
tional efficiency and better manpower utilization without
any reduction in safety.
10775 Easf Harvard Avenue
Sude <00
Denver, Coloratlo 80231
(30J) 3375903
C~
