Applications must be made at least one <br />year prior to harvest <br />Over-the-Top Wiper ApplicaHona (Rutabagas oNy) <br />USE ASTRUCIIONS: Wiper applicators may be used over-the-top ofmtabages. <br />PRECAUTIONS, RESTRICTIONS; Allow at least 14 days between application <br />and harvest of rotabagas. <br />8.11 Miscellaneous Crops <br />LABELED CROPS: Aloe vein, Aspaagus, Bamboo shoots, Globe artichoke, <br />Oka, Peanm (ground nut), Pineapple, Stawberry, Sugar beet. <br />TYPES OF APPLICAT]ONS: Those listed in Section 8.0 plus the following: <br />Genca] Weed Control, Site Prepaation, Spot Treatment (Aspargus). <br />PRECAUTIONS, RESTRICTIONS: Avoid contact ofherbicide with fbliage, green <br />shoots or stems, bark, exposed roots (including those emerging from plastic mulch), <br />or trait of crops because severe injury or deswction may result. When making <br />preemergence and at planting apphcations, applications must be made before crop <br />emergence tin avoid severe crop injury. Broadcast applications made at emergence <br />will result in injury or death to emerged seedlings. In crops with vines, hooded <br />sprayer, shielded 5payer, and wiper application Io row middles should be made <br />prior to vine development otherwise severe injury or destruction may result. <br />Unless otherwise specified in this producY6 labeling, treatrtrent5 with selective <br />equipment including wipers and hooded spayers must be made at least 14 days <br />primr to harvest Past-harvest or fallow applications must be made at least 30 <br />days prior ro planting any non-labeled crop. See "APPLICATION EQUIPMENT <br />AND 7ECHN]QUES" section of this label for additional information. <br />General Weed Control, Site Preparation <br />USE INSTRUCTIONS: This product may be applied for general weed control or <br />for site preparation prior to planting or transplanting crops listed in this section. <br />PRECAUTIONS, RESTRICTIONS; When applying this product prior to trans- <br />planting or direct-seeding crops into plastic mulch, care must be taken to remove <br />residues of this producS which could cause crop injury, from [he plastic prior <br />to planting. Residues can be removed by a single 0.5-inch application of water, <br />eithu by natua] rainfall or via.a sprinkler system. Care should be taken to ensure <br />Thal the water flushes off the plastic mulch and does not enter the transplant <br />holes. Applications made at emergence will result in injury ar death to emerged <br />seedlings. <br />Do not apply within a week before the first asparagus spears emerge. Do not harvest within 5 days of treatment <br />Post-Harvest (Asparagus) <br />USE INSTRUCTIONS: This product may be applied after the last harvest and <br />all spears have been removed. If spears are allowed to regrow, delay application <br />until fems have developed. Delayed treatments should be applied az a directed or <br />shielded spiny in order to avoid contact of the spray with fems, stems or spears. <br />PRECAUTIONS, RESTRICTIONS: Direct contact of the spiny with the asparagus <br />may result in serious crop injury. Select and use recommended types of spiny <br />equipment for postemergence post-harvest applications. A directed spray is any <br />application where the spiny pattern is aligned in such a way as Io avoid direct <br />contact of the spray with the crop. A shielded spiny is any application where a <br />physical bartier is positioned and maintained between dre spiny and the crop to <br />prevent contact of spiny with the crop. <br />9.0 TREE; VINE, AND SHRUB CROPS <br />(Alphabetical} <br />NOTE: THIS SECTION GIVES GENERAL DIRECf10NS THAT APPLY <br />70 ALL LISTED TREE, VINE, AND SHRUB CROPS WITHIN SECTION <br />9 GROUPED ALPHABETICALLY BELOW. SEE THE- INDNIDUAL CROP <br />CATEGORIES FOR SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS, PREHARVEST WTER- <br />VALS, PRECAUTIONS AND RESTRICf10NS. <br />TYPES OF APPLICAT]ONS: Preplant (Site Preparation) Broadcast Spays, Gen- <br />eral Weed Control, Middles (between rows of trees, vines or bushes), Strips (within <br />rows of pees, vines or bushes), Selective Equipment (Shielded Sprayers, Wiptt <br />Applications), Directed Sprays, Spot 7reaonenk, Perennial Gress Suppression, <br />Cut Stump. <br />Applications may be made with boom equipment, CDA equipment, shielded <br />sprayers, hand-held and high-volume wands, lances, orchard guns or with wiper <br />applicator equipment, except as directed. <br />GENERAL USE INSTRUCTIONS: This product may be applied in middles (be- <br />tweenrows of trees or vines), strips (within rows of trees or vines), and for general <br />weed control or perennial grass suppression in established trtt frail and nut groves, <br />orchards, berries, and vinryards. It may aka be used for site preparation prior to <br />planting or transplanting these crops. Apply 1 pint to 5 quarts per acre according <br />to the "ANNUAL WEEDS RATE TABLE" and "PERENNIAL WEEDS RATE <br />TABLE" sections of this label. Utilize atu at the higherend of the recommended <br />rate range when weeds are stressed, growing in denu populations or are greater <br />than ]2 inches tall. Repeat applications may be made up to a maximum of 10.6 <br />quarts per acre per year. <br />The maximum use rates stated throughout this product's labeling appy to Ori <br />product combined with the use of all other herbicides containing glyphosate or <br />sulfosate as the active ingredient, whether applied as mixmrcs or separately. <br />Calculate the application rotes and ensure that the total use of this and other <br />glyphosate or sulfosate containing products does not exceed sated maximum uu <br />ate. <br />GENERAL PRECAUTIONS, RESTRICTIONS: Extreme care must be exercised <br />to avoid contact of herbicide solution, spay, drift or mist with foliage or green <br />bark of tmnk, branches, suckers, trait or other parts of trees, canes and vines. <br />Avoid applications when recent pinning wounds or other mechanical injury has <br />occurred. Contact of this product with other than matured brown bark can result <br />in serious crop damage or deswetion. Only shielded or directed sprayers may <br />be used in crops with potendal for crop contact, and then onty where there <br />is sufficient cleaance. For applications rn strips (within rows of trees), only <br />selective equipment (directed spays, hooded spayers, shielded applicators, or <br />wipers) should be used to minimize the potential for leakage or drift of herbicide <br />spays onto crop. For berg crops, hooded or shielded spayers must be fully <br />enclosed including top, sides, front and back. Only wipes or shielded applicators <br />capable of preventing all contact with troy may be used. See "APPLICATION <br />EQUB'MEN7 AND TECHNIQUES" secmm~ ofrhis label for additional directions <br />and precautions. <br />Allow a minimum of 3 days between application and transplanting. <br />Middles (BeM~een Rows) <br />USE B.STRUCTIONS: This product will control or suppress annual and perennial <br />weeds and ground covers growing between the rows of labeled tree and vine crops. <br />If weeds are under drought stress, irrigate prior to application. Reduced control <br />may result if weeds have been mowed prior to application. <br />TANK MIXTURES: A ank mixture of this product plus Goa12XL may be used <br />for annual weeds in middles between rows of ciws crops, tree traits, tree nuts and <br />vine crops. This mixture is recommended when weeds arc stressed or growing <br />in dense populations. 16 to 32 fluid ounces per acre of this product plus 3 m <br />12 fluid ounces per acre of Goa] 2XL will control common cheeseweed (molva) <br />or hairy Beabanc (Contza 6onariensis) with a maximum height or diameter of 3 <br />inches, and annual weeds with a maximum height or diameter of b inches, in- <br />cluding crabgrass, common groundsel, junglerice, Common lambsquarters, redroot <br />pigweed, London rocket, common ryegass, shepherd's-purse, annual sowthistle, <br />filaree (suppression), horseweed/marestail (Con}za canadensis), stinging nenl~ <br />and common purslane (suppression). - <br />Strips (In Rows) <br />TANK MIXTURES: This product may be applied in rows of tree or vine crops <br />in tank mixtures with the folowing products: <br />111 rights resen~ed. <br />s <br /> <br />
