• 6. POND SUITABILITY <br />As stated in the Introduction, the post-mining use of the surrounding land is irrigated pasture. <br />Livestock will use the pasture to feed and the post-mine pond will be used to trap sediment from <br />the drainage basin and the road ditch that leads to the pond. The pond will be cleaned of sediment <br />as needed, which is entirely dependent on large storm events. The desire of the landowners to <br />retain the pond for this use is e~ressed in the letter shown on the following page. They say that <br />it is a considerable benefit to their property. <br />In addition, WFC has gone to a great extent to ensure that all water rights issues have been <br />addressed, as shown in the next section. <br />LJ <br /> <br />Revised August 2006 Attachment 2.05.3{3)-19-9 <br />
