~• 2.1.7 Glenwood Springs City Landfill <br />• <br /> <br />The City of Glenwood Springs maintains a sanitary landfill <br />just outside the eastern edge of the proposed permit area. <br />Because mining is not planned in the area of the landfill and <br />because the landfill is located outside the area of influence of <br />mining-related surface subsidence effects, the Glenwood Springs <br />City Landfill is not discussed in any further detail. <br />1.8 Vulcan Ditch <br />The Vulcan Ditch is located along the northern edge of the <br />proposed permit area. Because mining is not planned in the area <br />of the Vulcan Ditch and because the ditch is located outside the <br />area of influence of mining-related surface subsidence effects, <br />the Vulcan Ditch is not discussed in any further detail. <br />2.1.9 Porter Reservoir <br />Porter Reservoir is located outside of the southeast corner <br />of the proposed permit area. Because mining is not planned in the <br />area of Porter Reservoir and because the reservoir is located <br />outside the area of influence of mining-related surface subsidence <br />effects, Porter Reservoir is not discussed in any further detail. <br />2.1.10 Sykes and Alford Ditch <br />The Sykes and Alford Ditch is located south of the proposed <br />permit area. Because mining is not planned in the area of the <br />Sykes and Alford Ditch and because the ditch is located outside <br />the area of influence of mining-related surface subsidence <br />effects, the Sykes and Alford Ditch is not discussed in any <br />further detail. <br />page 8 <br />
