The City of Glenwood Springs maintains a sanitary landfill
just outside the eastern edge of the proposed permit area.
Because mining is not planned in the area of the landfill and
because the landfill is located outside the area of influence of
mining-related surface subsidence effects, the Glenwood Springs
City Landfill is not discussed in any further detail.
1.8 Vulcan Ditch
The Vulcan Ditch is located along the northern edge of the
proposed permit area. Because mining is not planned in the area
of the Vulcan Ditch and because the ditch is located outside the
area of influence of mining-related surface subsidence effects,
the Vulcan Ditch is not discussed in any further detail.
2.1.9 Porter Reservoir
Porter Reservoir is located outside of the southeast corner
of the proposed permit area. Because mining is not planned in the
area of Porter Reservoir and because the reservoir is located
outside the area of influence of mining-related surface subsidence
effects, Porter Reservoir is not discussed in any further detail.
2.1.10 Sykes and Alford Ditch
The Sykes and Alford Ditch is located south of the proposed
permit area. Because mining is not planned in the area of the
