throughput, and the train dump hopper will be enclosed in a fabricated, metal building. The
existing truck dump hopper and belt conveyor, existing crusher building (refurbished), an
existing reclaim belt conveyor (refurbished and relocated) and the existing loading building
(refurbished and relocated) will be used to load tandem-trailer bottom dump trucks for coal
haulage to the Hayden Station Power Plant. See Exhibit 12-1, Facilities Map, Exhibit 12-1A,
Train Unloading and Truck Igading Facilities Plan and Sections, and Exhibit 12-2, Surface
Water Control Plan Map for anticipated locations and layout of the proposed coal handling
facility.
Railcar Unloading Facility: The rail car unloading hopper will be located slightly west of
the existing train loadout structure location. The hopper will be enclosed in a fabricated,
metal building. The hopper will be able to accommodate up to approximately 275 tons of
coal. Coal from the hopper will be transferred to a reclaim conveyor by a 118-inch belt
feeder located below the hopper.
Dust control for the proposed coal handling system will be by FogJeta' System (Raring
Corporation, Vancouver, Washington), or equivalent. A new storage building will be
constructed near the existing water tank to house the dust control system.
Reclaim Tunnel and Conveyor: A 60-inch wide reclaim belt conveyer will be housed in an
inclined (16 '~) concrete tunnel perpendicular to the railroad tracks. The reclaim belt
conveyor will transport coal (9,000 tons per hour) to the radial stacker.
Radial Stacker: The radial stacker will be a 59-inch wide by 125-feet long self-propelled
rubber tired unit. The stacker will be capable of adjusting the dump height to minimize
dust, and will slew through 160 degrees on a concrete runway.
Coal Storage: The coal storage pile will be kidney shaped and approximately 30 feet maximum
height. The stockpile will be capable of storing a maximum of 30,000 tons of coal. Tracked
dozers will be used to push coal from the stockpile to the dump hopper which feeds the truck
loading facility.
Dump Hopper Facility: A truck dump with a 75-ton capacity conical steel hopper was
originally installed for haul trucks to dump run-of-mine coal into the coal handling
Facility. With the train unloading and truck hauling system, the hopper dump will be used
as part of the coal handling system to transfer coal from the coal stockpile to the truck
loadout. A welded grizzly with 12-inch openings is located above the hopper. Am existing
36-inch wide reclaim belt conveyor receives coal from the dump hopper and feeds an existing
36-inch wide belt conveyor. The 36-inch belt conveyor discharges coal to a coal chute
located in the existing crusher building.
Crushes Building: The existing crusher building will be refurbished. The existing single-
roll crusher will be removed and a conical steel coal chute installed. The coal chute will
feed an existing 60-inch wide reclaim belt conveyor (refurbished and relocated from the
TR-06 14 Revised OS/OS
