•
•
EXHIBIT D
Mining Plan
Phase 2 Area B1 will be quarried for limestone. The available
topsoil will be removed from area B1 and B2 and stockpiled
in the designated area. The overburden stone from area B1
and B2 will be blasted, hauled and stockpiled along the
western perimeter of Areas B2, B3 and B4. The overburden
varies in depth from 0 to 20 feet thick, averaging 10 feet.
The overburden will be stockpiled on an average of 15 feet
thick in the perimeter area.
Upon removal of the overburden material, the high calcium
limestone will be removed from area BI using conventional
open pit drilling and blasting methods. The limestone will
be loaded into trucks and hauled to the stockpile area for
sizing and stockpiling.
The overburden from Area A will be backfilled into the
excavation, contoured to a slope of 2 to 1 or less, leveled
and covered with the available topsoil. The area will be
• revegetated with: Indian Ricegrass, 3.211/acre; Western Wheat-
grass, 4.0/1/acre; Ptountain Mahogany, 4.011/acre; Sage, 1.511/acre;
Rabbit Brush, 2.511/acre.
