Response: The Operator of the mine will be Precision Excavating, Inc. of Hayden`~~"o"E~
Steamboat Springs.
9. Lease interests:
Response: There are no lease interests in the property other than those associated with
the mining of gravel.
10. Total area to be mined:
Response: The total area to be mined in connection with this action is approximately
70.4 acres.
11. Other existing permit approvals:
Response: The landowner currently holds all of the necessary permits issued by the
Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology to operate a sand and gravel mine at the
Camilletti Milner Gravel Pit, storm water and emissions permits issued by the Colorado
Department of Health and Environment as well as highway access permits issued by
the Colorado Department of Transportation. In addition, the landowner, holds approved
Special Use Permits and Highway Access Permits obtained from Routt County.
12. Expected date of commencement:
Response: Based upon the time frame involved in obtaining the necessary County,
State and Federal Permits, the Applicant anticipates commencing mining activities in
the winter or early spring of 2001 as soon as the necessary permits have been
obtained.
13. Expected date of termination:
Response: Based upon the anticipated rate of mining at 60,000 tons per year during the
first year of mining and building up to a projected production rate of 300,000 tons per
year, approximately five years into the mine life and given the reserves which have
been quantified at this location, it is anticipated that mining associated with Mine Blocks
# 1 and # 2 will cease, depending on production levels in approximately 16.1 years or
in the late winter or early spring of 2016. Mining in Mine Block 2A, in the event that this
corridor is mined, will be mined in approximately the years 2016 and 2017. This means
mining of the currently proposed three mine blocks will end in the year 2016-2017. It
must be pointed out however, that it might take longer than five years for the mine to
reach the 300,000 tons per year goal and perhaps there might be some years where
production will be less than or greater than this amount. In this event, these timetables
will be altered accordingly.
14. Total area to be mined:
Response: The total area to be mined or disturbed in connection with this action is
approximately 71 acres. This equates to a figure of approximately 70.4 acres of mining
excavation and approximately 0.6 acres for haul roads, etc.
