RE: Foidel Creek Permit Revision Application Draft Findings Meeting
on Friday, April 15, 1983
A draft copy of the findings of compliance was niven to the applicant on
April 14, 1983.
On April 15, 1983 the Division met vrith representatives of Getty Oil Company:
George Young, Lar°ry Damrau, Jeff Saunders and Mike Ludlow to discuss any
concerns or comments they had. These ar•e briefly described belovl.
1. Colorado Yanlpa Coal Company's name was changed to Colorado Yampa
Leasing Company. The operator of the Foidel Creek P4ine will be
Twentymile Coal Company. George Young proposed a paragraph explaining
this which will be inserted into the findings. CYCC was changed to
"the applicant" throughout the document.
2. Lennox seam has not been mined at the Energy P1ines 1, 2 or 3.
3. Remove comments on coal quality.
4. Minor changes in hydrologic section to clarify statement.
5. On page 26 Jeff Saunders was concerned about reference to "depletion
of flow to Fish Creek". The Division discussed this with them and
we decided it would be appropriate to say decrease instead.
6. 30 days is too short a time to install wells on Fish Creek. Changed
to 120 days for installation and 30 days to present a plan..
7. Time frame for• removal of v~ash-bad v1e11 too short. Division extended
removal time to 45 days, after Division approval. 30 days after
permit issuance a plan must be submitted.
