. ~~ ` , • _ • <br />Page 4 <br />As coal is extracted, it will be transported underground to a conveyor <br />for removal to the surface. The conveyor will transport material to a <br />staging/crushing unit for sizing and placement in the surge pile area <br />where coal will be loaded into on-highway trucks by front-end loaders. <br />All mining (previously discussed) for the PicClane Canyon mine will be <br />done by continuous miners, with diesel haulage vehicles and conveyor <br />belt for transport of Che mine. A room-and-pillar, retreat slicing <br />method of mining will be used. A ]=st of major equipment for the <br />McClane Canyon mine is as follows: <br />Underground <br />1. Continuous miner <br />2. Diesel haulage vehicles <br />3. Roof bolter <br />4. Battery service vehicles <br />5. Personnel transport vehicles <br />Surface <br />1. Trailers <br />2. Warehouse trailers <br />3. 1,000 KVA diesel generator <br />4. Skid-mounted primary fan <br />5. 10,000 and 4,000 gallon fuel storage tanks <br />6. Conveyor system/gantry <br />7. Portable crushing unit <br />Present development entry design provides that 60~G of the available <br />pillar area remain in place. Convergence data and observation obtained <br />show no abnormal subsidence. Therefore, no subsidence monitoring is <br />planned for the permit area. <br />Appendix-H (of P1ine Plan) refers to the approved koof Control Plan and <br />the approved Ventilation Plan, in accordance with the Mine Safety and <br />Health Administration (MSHA) guidelines. <br />Evaluation of Compliauce <br />Sheridan Enterpises, Inc., has received approval from the Air Pollution <br />Control Division of the Colorado Department of Health Ear [he operation <br />of a coal mine in the Canyon. Only a minimum amount of disturbance and <br />resultant air omissions are expected. <br />No ground water inflow has been encountered in the Cameo seam, nor is <br />any inflow anticipated for the duration of the permit. <br />There are no archeological or historical sites of value on the permit <br />area. <br />
