The conveyor will transport material to a
staging/crushing unit for sizing and placement in the surge pile area
where coal will be loaded into on-highway trucks by front-end loaders.
All mining (previously discussed) for the PicClane Canyon mine will be
done by continuous miners, with diesel haulage vehicles and conveyor
belt for transport of Che mine. A room-and-pillar, retreat slicing
method of mining will be used. A ]=st of major equipment for the
McClane Canyon mine is as follows:
Underground
1. Continuous miner
2. Diesel haulage vehicles
3. Roof bolter
4. Battery service vehicles
5. Personnel transport vehicles
Surface
1. Trailers
2. Warehouse trailers
3. 1,000 KVA diesel generator
4. Skid-mounted primary fan
5. 10,000 and 4,000 gallon fuel storage tanks
6. Conveyor system/gantry
7. Portable crushing unit
Present development entry design provides that 60~G of the available
pillar area remain in place. Convergence data and observation obtained
show no abnormal subsidence. Therefore, no subsidence monitoring is
planned for the permit area.
Appendix-H (of P1ine Plan) refers to the approved koof Control Plan and
the approved Ventilation Plan, in accordance with the Mine Safety and
Health Administration (MSHA) guidelines.
Evaluation of Compliauce
Sheridan Enterpises, Inc., has received approval from the Air Pollution
Control Division of the Colorado Department of Health Ear [he operation
of a coal mine in the Canyon. Only a minimum amount of disturbance and
resultant air omissions are expected.
No ground water inflow has been encountered in the Cameo seam, nor is
any inflow anticipated for the duration of the permit.
There are no archeological or historical sites of value on the permit
area.
