The applicant should submit final ditch designs. Final designs <br />should incorporate the required freeboard and reflect the actual <br />size when constructed. 4.05.3(6)(6). <br />il. It appears that sediment control is lacking in the southernmost <br />portion of the proposed mining area. Sediment control should be <br />provided. <br />12. It appears that the culvert located under the haul road is not <br />located to intercept the conveyance ditch leading to pond 005. <br />This should be corrected. Additionally, the applicant should <br />submit the sizing calculations of the proposed culvert. <br />13. The applicant should address the potential problem of short- <br />circuiting in the design of the ponds. 4.05.6(6). <br />14. The applicant should address the methods to be employed in <br />measuring discharges from the sediment ponds. 4.05.13(2)(a)(1). <br />15. It appears that ditches 111400 and 11420 intercept the ephemeral <br />drainage in numerous places. The applicant needs to discuss <br />ho~a grade will be maintained within these ditches. <br />OVERBURDEN <br />It appears that the applicant will be blasting within 500' of the <br />Sdestern Slope gasline. The applicant must demonstrate that such <br />operations will not have an adverse impact on this structure and <br />obtain approval for such operations from Western Slope gas. <br />4.08.4(7)(6). <br />2. It appears that the applicant will conduct blasting operations <br />within 1,000' of the landowner's dwelling. The applicant must <br />demonstrate. that such operations will not have an adverse impact <br />on the structure. 4.084(7)(a). <br />2.05.4(2)(6) Bonding (Rule 3) <br />The applicant must submit a detailed estimate of the cost of reclamation <br />of the proposed operation.
