DRMS Response: Final maps will be reviewed prior to approval. <br />December 15, 2006 Rule 3 Adequacy Review Letter <br />The following questions in italics were provided to Northfield in a December 15, 2006 adequacy <br />letter. The original question numbers were retained for reference. All responses to these questions <br />were found adequate and the additional information was used to develop a reclamation cost <br />estimate using the CIRCES cost estimating program developed by DRMS. Please find the estimate <br />attached for review. <br />Section 2.05.2 Operations Plan -Estimated Area for Life of Operation <br />1. There is a typographic error on Page 2.05-2 on the second line of the forth paragraph. <br />The word structures has been misspelled as "strictures ". Please correct. <br />Northfield Response: Typo was corrected. <br />DRMS: Response accepted. <br />Section 2.05.3 Operations Plan -Permit Area <br />2. There is a typographical error on Page 2.05.3-3 on the second line of the first paragraph. <br />The text reads "...Mine Health and Safety Administration (MSHA). " This should read <br />"Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). " Please correct. <br />Northfield Response: Typo was corrected. <br />DRMS: Response accepted. <br />3. On Page 2.05.3-7 Northfield describes a plan to pump water from the active workings to <br />the surface and have it pass through the sediment pond and eventually be discharged to <br />the surface stream system. Please provide the Division with a diagram of the system <br />including the size(s) and location(s) of any boreholes to the workings and the size and <br />location of all surface and subsurface piping. Additionally, please include the water <br />system on the appropriate map. <br />Northfield Response: Additional information was provided as requested. <br />DRMS: Response accepted. <br />4.
