• P.5 No.2 There are three usable drill holes left on the
site: 17B, 82-4, and 82-1. Well 17B is at
the northern reaches of the planned pit and
intersects a limited strata interval. Well
82-4 is on the upper side of the east high
wall and intersects strata above and through
the coal seams. Well 82-1 is located on the
south end of the planned pit and is drilled to
the base of the gravel. All of these wells
have intercepted water of some magnitude.
These wells are the remaining locations for
water monitoring and testing. Oakridge plans
to conduct additional testing of water quality
during the next four quarters to better
document the occurrence and quality of the
water.
P.5 No.3 Full suite monitoring will be conducted on the
springs for the following four quarters. This
information will be included in the annual
hydrologic report as submitted to the
Division.
P.5 No.4 Well 17B has not flowed to the knowledge of
Oakridge. However, a cap will be placed on
• the top of the well to prevent any possible
flow from the well.
P.6 No.5 Oakridge has committed to conduct an
additional year of full suite monitoring on
the three available wells and the springs.
P.6 No.6 Well 82-5 has been eliminated by the mining
operation. Oakridge cannot confirm nor
explain the possibility of the hydrogen
sulfide smell from the well.
P.6 No.7 Oakridge does not believe any further testing
for alluvial valley floors is merited. Any
additional testing could not possibly create
the slightest concern of the existence of an
alluvial valley floor.
GEOLOGY
P.6 No.l The third hole from which the geochemistry
data is provided is apparently lOB, which is
on the northeast side of the north end of the
pit. The well has been shown on Map 4-2.
• P.6 No.2 Please refer to the response to Question 1
under the Geochemistry requirements above.
P.6 No.3 The character of the slumping contact has been
