Rule 2.04.7(4) requires that certain maps be submitted (and
certified according to Rule 2.10) that were not included in the
original submittal:
Locations of water supply intakes, ditches, reservoirs
and wells within a one mile minimum radius of the
affected area.
Elevations and locations of all hydrologic monitoring
sites.
Location, extent and movement of subsurface water.
Location of all oil, gas and water wells in and adjacent
to the permit area. Elevation and location of test
borings.
Svdroloav Desarivtion - Rule 2.04.7
12. Total Dissolved Solids
Information on pages 6 through 9, Tab 7 notes that total dissolved
solids increase somewhat from the upstream surface water monitoring
site to the downstream water monitoring site; averaging 2,439 and
3,175 mg/1, respectively. Information on page 10, Tab 7 indicates
that NPDES 002 has a much higher values for total dissolved solids
than does NPDES 001.
Please give additional details as to why these patterns may be
occurring in the PHC.
Climatological Information - Rule 2.04.8
13. Information on page 3, Tab 8 on wind speeds and direction
indicates that prevailing winds are from the east.
Please explain why winds would be prevailing from the east, rather
than the west, at the Seneca 22-W Mine and if those same conditions
are present at the HG Loadout.
Reveaetation Plan 2.05.4(2)(e)
14. The Division encourages the use of native species in the seed
mixes used. HGTI is proposing to include a small amount of alfalfa
in its rangeland seed mix. Experience has shown alfalfa to be a
very competitive species.
