Septic system information was added in permit page 2.05.3-23, and additional <br />details were provided on general construction information included on Table <br />2.OS.3-2, pages 2.05.3-24 and 2S. <br />13. Crushing and screening plant foundation details were provided on general <br />construction information included on Table 2.05.3-2, pages 2.05.3-24 and 25. <br />14. Truck scale dimensions were added to the pennit on general construction <br />information included on Table 2.05.3-2, pages 2.05.3-24 and 25. A scale house <br />was added to the permit text on page 2.05.3-18, and additional details were added <br />in the general construction information included on Table 2.05.3-2, pages 2.05.3- <br />24 and 25. <br />15. Topsoil stockpile discussion on permit page 2.05.3-18 was edited to include a <br />reference to additional topsoil information on permit pages 2.05.4-6 thru 8. <br />16. Road design information and profiles were developed by the Applegate Group <br />and added as a report in Exhibit AA. <br />17. Power transmission lines and associated equipment information was edited on <br />pages 2.05.3-22 and 23, and provided in the general construction information <br />included on Table 2.05.3-2, pages 2.05.3-24 and 25. Surface power distribution <br />information was included on Map 12, referenced below in response no. 19. <br />18. Topsoil salvage was revised to include a recovery depth of approximately 10 <br />inches. Permit text on pages 2.04-26, 2.05.3-29, and 2.05.4-6 was edited to reflect <br />the change in soil recovery depth. Estimated topsoil volume and associated <br />recovery areas, including average swell and compaction factors, were determined <br />and were included on permit Table 2.05.4-1, page 2.05.4-7. <br />19. Mine facilities details were removed from Map 1. A new facilities map was <br />drafred, final edits and certification are close to completion. The map will be <br />forwarded to the Division upon receipt by Northfield. Map 12 is reserved for the <br />Proposed Facilities Map. <br />20. A chart of all facilities was compiled along with general construction information <br />included on Table 2.05.3-2, pages 2.05.3-24 and 25. <br />21. Overburden volumes, including swell and compaction information, were edited <br />out of the discussion on permit pages 2.05.3-24 and 25. Northfield has added <br />permit Exhibit AC that includes cross-sections of the mine bench, with volume <br />calculations based on swell and compaction factors taken from the Caterpillar <br />Performance Handbook. <br />22. Production of refuse from the crushing and screening plant was evaluated and a <br />plan for an on-site permanent refuse pile was added to the permit on pages 2.05.3- <br />19 and 20. Location of the refuse pile was included on Map 12, referenced above <br />in response no. 19. <br />23. Storage area information, including areas for mine supplies and metal salvage, <br />were added to the permit on pages 2.05.3-15 and 16. <br />24.
