~ .: l
Mr. Steve Self -3- March 8, 1984
c. A plan for collecting statistically adequate vegetation cover data GAL
from reclaimed areas to demonstrate successful revegetation.
12. In certain sections of the application, reference is made to developing ,^
rock tunnels to lower seams, and mining beneath County Road 237 and Harvey Gap d
Drainage. The applicant should clarify that approval of these activities is
not being requested for the 5 year permit term.
~. The application discussion of subsidence is incomplete, since the
applicant does not propose to monitor subsidence, but falls to address the
occurrence of renewable resource lands within the proposed permit and adjacent
area as required by Rule 2.05.6(6)(a). The discussion of potential subsidence
effects on County Raad 237 and Harvey Gap Drainage is misleading, since
~" neither the road nor the drainage would be undermined during the 5 year permit
term. The discussion regarding subsidence impacts on the road and the
~a drainage should be deleted.
~~ If you have any questions concerning these matters, please feel free to call
Sincerely,
Dan Mathews /
Reclamation Specialist
DM/ph
Doc. No. 9936
