Monitor
Gro id water monitoring will be conducted at locations
shown on Map ~-13, which indicates proposed monitoring wells for
the three maj~ - sandstones in the mine area. The Trout Creek
Sandstone is ie first aquifer below the entire coal zone. The
Trout Creek S+ ~dstone will be monitored from well TC1 and TC2,
both of which serves as water supply wells for the mining opera-
tion.
The 'wenty-Mile and Middle Sandstones are between the
existing mine: These two sandstones will be monitored through
holes TM1 - TP and M1 - M4, respectively, as shown on Map IV-13.
Holes TM1 and 1 will serve as alternate wells or monitoring
locations if c her locations are lost during drilling. This will
provide a mini um of three observation points for each sandstone.
Wells shown or P4ap IV-3 as G-1 through G-4 are now obsolete.
The VF ir. the Williams Fork River area will be moni-

tored through oles AV1 - AV6 at locations shown on Map IV-13.
Four of these ells were formerly designated as S-1, S-3, S-5 and
5-16. Empire ill maintain four wells in the event that construc-
tion or other :tivities require some the holes to be closed.
IV-73A Revised ~~~5',/16/80
~ ~ I
