Seneca II-W, Completenesa'Review

I have finished my completeness review of the Seneca II-W
permit application. The applicant has, for the moat part,
provided sufficient information for the actual mine area. In
the sections I reviewed, only two items have been found to be
incomplete. (Several Additional items including the
applicantra discussion of probable hydrologic consequences will
require additional work to be considered adequate.) However,
no hydrology baseline, no alluvial valley floor studies, no
discussion of probable hydrologic consequences, and no
poet-mining topographic map have been provided for the haul
[oad corridor. Although it may not be appropriate to supply
the same level of information for the haul road corridor as for
the area to be mined, some of this information should be
included. The applicant should provide the following so that
the permit application can be determined to be complete.
Rule 2.04.7(2) Surface Water Information
The applicant has not provided sufficient information to
identify, in detail, the seasonal variations in water quality
and quantity of the springs identified in the permit and
adjacent area.
To complete the application, additional flow data and water
quality data (including major ions, minor ions, and trace
metals) sufficient to show seasonal variations should be
provided for the springs located in the permit and adjacent
area.
Rule 2.05.4(2)(c)-Plan for Backfillina and Gtadina
The applicant has not provided a post-mining topographic map
for the haul road corridor.
To complete the application, a poet-mining contour map for the
haul road corridor should be provided.
