Tree Data (DBH, tree height, and age information) taken of
representative trees in the stands.
D. Steep Mountain Brush
1. Very steep and rocky vegetation type; little or no impacts
from mining activities.
2. Qualitative evaluation, with field verification of mapping.
3. T and E inventory.
E. Rothrock Sagebrush
1. Cover - 15 samples
2. Production - 15 samples
3. Woody Plant Density - 15 samples
4. Restricted to higher elevation sites with heavy clay soils
or weathered shale.
F. Silver Sagebrush
1. Cover - 15 samples
2. Production - 15 samples
3. Woody Plant Density - 15 samples
4. Restricted to drainages with more mesic conditions than
adjacent uplands. Not a wet site.
G. Big Sagebrush/Low Sagebrush
1. Cover - 15 minimum samples; after 15 to adequacy or 30
maximum.
2. Production - 30 maximum.
3. During June spring flora check, field mapping
to break out low sagebrush type. If feasible, big
sagebrush areas into V.B. above and low sagebrush type
sampled at a reduced level if type acreage is reduced
(15-20 samples maximum).
H.
