<br />-lo- <br />X.l'. Roads - Rules 2.05.3(3) (c) (i) and 4.03 <br />Deficiencies: <br /> <br />1. The applicant must describe the anticipated volume of tz'affic, and c.~eiyht <br />and speed of coal hauling vehicles which c.'i11 be using the haul road. If an <br />access road is intended to be constructed for maintenance of the proposed <br />sediment pond the location of the road must be indicated on a map and details of <br />the road must be provided to demonstrate compliance ciith Rule 4.03.2(4). <br />2. The applicant must provide a narrative which describes tine type and degree <br />of crown or pitch grade of the haul road surface. The narrative should <br />indicate the direction of flow of runoff from the road surface. <br />3. She applicant must describe in greater detail the discharge of flow from <br />the ditch along the haul road as depicted on ^fap I5. 41'hat type of eristing or <br />proposed structures are or will be installed at the point of discharge to <br />co.ntrel runoff and erosion? <br />X3:I. Bonding - Rules 2.05.4(2)(b) and Rule 3 <br />Deficiencies: <br />1. The assumptions and calculations for the bond amount must he amended in all <br />areas where the mine plan will differ from that proposed in the present aoplica- <br />tion. Specifically these changes are, at a minimum; earthct~ork involved in the <br />final grading of the mine bench, eartfmrork for reclamation of the excess develop- <br />ment c.•aste and processing waste piles, and z'emoval of the coal processing plant. <br />XnII. Sealing Drilled Holes or Underground Openings - Rules 2.05.4(2)(g) and 4.07 <br />Deficiencies: <br />1. The applicant needs to provide a description and appropriate cross-sections <br />which detail the method by which portals edill be sealed. This discussion should <br />distinguish between temporary and permanent sealing, and address how openings <br />are to be managed during the opez'ational life-of-the-mine. <br />2. The applicant needs to provide a discvssion, and appropriate cross-sections <br />and maps (of the locations of all drilled holes) which details how each exploration <br />hole,well, or other drill or bore hole including monitoring wells eiill be managed, <br />or sealed. This discussion should detail crhether the holes are completed in any <br />aquifers or are dry, and whether the holes are to be temporarily sealed (address- <br />ing the requirements of 4.07.2) or permanently sealed (addressing the requirements <br />of =1.07.3) . <br />3. The applicant nen_ds to state that an abandaimr_nt rcporC contnininy Che <br />requirements of 9.07.3(3) will be submitted to the Division within CO days after <br />abandonment of any hole, well, or underground opening. <br />
