'•',
Mr. Hamlett J. Barry
June 22, 1979
Page Three
Preparation of stockpile areas immediately before each of these cuts and
reclamation immediately following each will take place.
Reclamation Plan
The surface owner, Bogle Farms, has requested that no shrubs or trees be
'. transplanted onto the reclaimed areas. The purpose of this request is to
maximize livestock grazing area. The proposed seeding mixture and seeding
rate will remain the same. A copy of a letter from the landowner requesting
this change will be forwarded to the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board
upon receipt. '
The above changes are considered minor and fall within the limitations of
disturbance categories set forth by Margaret Koperski in her letter dated
May 30, 1978. The Rockcastle Company requests that the Colorado htined Land
Reclamation Board grant these changes at its next meeting via a technical
revision.
Although not considered a part of its permit or of this technical revision,
the Rockcastle Company wants to advise the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation
Board that the surface owner plans to lease equipment and construct a live-
stock pond across Grassy Creek. The proposed pond is included on the en-
closed revision to the mining plan map and is marked in yellow. The Rock-
castle Company will not use this pond for any purpose.
If I can answer any questions regarding the technical revision request, please
feel free to call.
Very truly yours,
Tommy D. Raye
mcr
encl.
cc: Mr. Bill Zabel
