Notlc? of the proposed decision <br />will be published in the San Miguel Basin Forum commencing Wednesday, <br />September 11, 199i. The first publication will Initiate the thirty day (30) <br />public comment period for the Division'; decision. <br />The proposed mine is located approximately 2 mile; southeast of Naturita in <br />Mcntros2 County, Colorado. The mine is a surf ac? mine ~.vith an anticipated <br />maximum production capacity of 300,000 tons per year. The coal to be mined is <br />privately owned and the surface to be affect?d is privately owne^.. The <br />proposed permit ar?a encompasses approximately 677 acres in the El/2, El/2 <br />Section 32 and W1/2 Section 33, Township 46N, Rance 15W; NW1/4 Section 4 and <br />E1/2, NEl/4 Section 5, Township aSN, Range ISW of the New Mexico Principle <br />Meridian. <br />Persons with an interest that may be adversely affected by the proposed <br />decision may request a formal hearing on the proposed decision before the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board.
